- Manage and coordinate the agricultural research activities of its research institutions.
- Process and forward agricultural research projects to donors for funding.
- Maintain pivotal links between research and extension.
- Facilitate, promote and provide training and manpower development to serve the research needs of the country.
- Monitor and evaluate agricultural research and link up with regional and international agricultural research bodies.
The Secretariat of NARCC is located in the Old Agricultural Building at Tower Hill in Freetown.
